Bowral Garden Club is a non-profit organisation. We support the community by making donations each year to local charities from any funds surplus to Club needs. Joining the Bowral Garden Club is an excellent way for newcomers to the Highlands to meet fellow gardeners. New members are always welcome at our monthly meetings (usually the second Monday of each month except January) held at 2.00 pm in the Uniting Church Hall, corner of Boolwey and Bendooley Streets, Bowral. Meetings include guest speakers, a plant and product trading table, demonstrations and time to share gardening information. There is also a seed bank and garden journals to borrow. Afternoon tea is served after the meeting and members are asked to bring a small plate of sandwiches, cake or biscuits. If that is inconvenient then a gold coin donation is welcome. | Each month (except January) members receive a newsletter. There is a coffee morning held either in a member’s garden or a local venue and an activity such as a tour to other interesting gardens in the area. Potting mornings are held early in the year to enable us to establish plants that will be ready for sale at our annual plant stall. |
